Interest groups, general meetings, annual garden tour, calendar of events ...
An active branch, AAUW Del Mar-Leucadia has numerous interest groups. Some groups meet regularly; others meet to work on a special project or event. We have book groups, movie groups, bridge groups, gourmet food enthusiasts, mini courses and more.
Our branch's general meetings begin with socializing, followed by a short business meeting. Most meetings feature interesting speakers and special events. Past speakers have covered:
- Healthy living
- Eco-friendly gardens
- Water conservation
- Voting rights
- Ballot propositions
- Afghan women who support themselves by making jewelry
- Climate change
- Super foods
- History of the American flag, and more
Our annual garden tour, the branch's largest fund raising event each year, draws hundreds of gardening enthusiasts and plant lovers to beautiful, varied North San Diego County gardens. Some gardens serve refreshments. All garden tours are self guided and self paced.
The calendar lists Del Mar-Leucadia branch events, as well as national, state and local AAUW-related events.
